In the throes of a panic attack it’s very common to think we’re going to have a heart attack. In an attempt at self-preservation we may react by avoiding the anxious feelings with all our might.
Today we’re re-posting a great read, “Anxiety Won’t Kill You” from the the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. The author provides a great overview of accepting anxiety, debunks common misconceptions and my personal favorite:
“…moving toward your anxiety, instead of away from it, will ultimately leave you feeling less anxious.”
